Our auditions for our 2024 Fall Term will be held September 16, 2024. On this date, auditions will only be held for new students or returning students who wish to be placed in a new ensemble. Returning students may be required to audition at another date.
COYO is excited to announce our continued partnership with the Central Oregon Symphony and the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Central Oregon. We will be rehearsing in the Unitarian Fellowship's beautiful venue, and we will be performing side by side with members of the Central Oregon Symphony. We will also be expanding our offerings of small ensemble/chamber music groups and professional instrumental coaches from members of the Central Oregon Symphony.
This season will be celebration of the talent and skill of our young musicians in Central Oregon!
Rehearsals will be every Monday from 5:15-7:45pm at Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Central Oregon. We will have three large ensembles, the Concert Orchestra for intermediate string students, the Wind Ensemble for winds and brass, and the Youth Philharmonic for advanced students. For details on the season schedule please see the tab above titled "Season Schedule."

Our Youth Orchestra Ensembles
Our ensembles are for students with 3 or more years of experience on their instrument. Advanced musicians that successfully demonstrate a level of playing equal to the Oregon High School All State Audition requirements, will be placed in additional chamber groups.
Roughly, the groups will be divided as follows. The Concert Orchestra and Wind Ensembles are an inclusive ensemble that all COYO musicians can participate in. In this ensemble, the more proficient musicians will have the opportunity to mentor our less experienced members and lead sectionals. The Philharmonic will be exclusively for our more advanced musicians where they can showcase their abilities performing upper-level musical repertoire. Additional ensembles and groups may be formed to facilitate the best educational experience for our students.

- Wind Ensemble is our youth wind and brass players of all levels
- Youth Philharmonic for advanced musicians
